25 years ago I wasn't even a thought. But coming up on the Southside of Chicago tales of despair & heartbreak are passed sown from generation to generation. As a young boy I heard the tale of Ben "Benji" Wilson. I heard that he was supposed to be "The Best Basketball player ever to come out of Chicago". But he never made it. The streets have a way of spreading out the pain and suffering evenly amongst society, whether you in them or not. Ben Wilson was a victim of that. "Hate" is not only a an action, it is a lifestyle. Too many of us walk around Hating and eventually it spills over and innocent people are hurt. Speculating how great Ben Wilson could've been is never enough, it would've really been nice to know. We all should Salute Ben Wilson, not just in our words but by our actions.
